Long serving Carnival Committee member David Edwards passes away

Lyme Regis Regatta & Carnival Team were sad to hear David Edwards, who for more than twenty years served as a Carnival Committee member, died peacefully recently. 

Alan Vian, Chairman of Lyme Regis Regatta & Carnival team commented:

"I was so saddened to hear that David had died. We will all miss his significant input into Lyme Regis life. Through the many years that I have been associated with Carnival David has always been there, handling the money and helping to organise all the events that take place. 

"I will always remember him particularly when the local boatmen take children for a ride during Carnival Week as he was there collecting the money and helping them off and on the boats.

"He had a lovely way of making time for people and ensuring that everything was done at the right pace.

"My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this sad time."
